I have worked at liquor stores and a gas stations. I have been robbed at both. I had a guy come in one night comes up to the counter and I am still looking at my book and say what can I get for you. Most of the time it was just cigarettes, chewing tobacco or rolling papers. He says all the money in the drawer. I look up and see him with a gun and was just told him, ok. Leaned over it the no sale thing and said there you are. Also there is a safe in the back would you like the combination for that to? He was dumb founded that I was just so casual about it. He asked me if I cared about the money. I told him nope. He asked if I was scared of his gun I said nope because its not loaded. At the time I really was not because I was depressed and did not fear death. I asked him you should have stole gas while you were here but to late for that now I guess. He hold it to my head and asks if I am being a smart ass I said nope. And just pointed my finger straight up and put it where the clip should have been and said see no bullets. I personally think this guy felt more violated that I was not afraid of him than actually stealing the money. I told him again the combo to the safe and where it was at he walks back there and I hear holy shit. I hear him ruffling around my managers office to get something to put the money in. I just thought to myself this is about the dumbest ass crook ever. Especially robbing a place in the middle of the week. But he did not know while I hit the no sale on the register I also tripped the silent alarm. The cops pull up guns drawn and come in. I just tell him he's in the managers office. I get the third degree from officers like I was trying to help him and later we would split it. I just told them look. While I knew there was no clip inside his gun he could have had one in the chamber. Am I going to die or someone elses money. No. They leave and I have about two hours before my manager shows up. So I go over and tidy back up his office. Lay the police report on his desk and go back to reading for my test. He comes in and asks how the night went I said nothing major and before I left and said oh yea we almost got robbed. Reports on your desk. Deafening silence while I walked out. I was fired the next night.
