Have you thought about why you didn't want to grow up as a woman?

From the trans people I've talked to it's always been like a "I have no interest in doing thing that's stereotypical for a certain gender to do"

I've never been able to understand why it isn't better to promote body acceptance and the idea that you can do whatever you want regardless of gender and instead we have to be like "if you want to be a certain type of person you need surgery". IDK. I'm fine with people transitioning if it helps to prevent suicide but I've always seen it as similar to giving someone with low self esteem about their appearance a nose job to make them feel better. It doesn't seem like a healthy solution. To me it just seems like there will always be something they'll be unhappy with and it makes more sense to change their self perception than their body.

I'm not saying I'm right or trying to argue or anything, sorry if this comes off badly, just giving my perspective so someone can change it. Just want to understand better.
