I hate to break it to people, but after watching some of the other films in contention this year for the major categories it's highly unlikely... Yes RRR is an enjoyable absurd film to many with catchy tunes but it clearly is just another 'masala' entertainer which just happens to be probably the best of that genre. But realistically those kind of movies seldom hold greater nuance that decide weather a film is considered for an award like the academy awards.. does it demerit it in any way? No. A film can be enjoyable and not be Oscar worthy and that's completely fine. But I'd be shocked if this movie got nominated for the major categories which are already stacked.
