Let's talk about the Oneplus 2 and the new Motorola phones

Motorola:

Moto G:

Looks like a solid product for the price. I like the design and the addition of moto maker. I think that the waterproofing is a nice touch - not sure why they couldn't do this on the play, but understand the material options would prevent the style from being water resistant.

The nexus 6 had a good camera imho so if the moto g's camera is anything like it then that's great.

I think 5inch is the sweet spot for all round phone usage and portability.

I don't have any negatives about the G.

Moto X Play:

Positives:

The price! The battery! The screen size. The sd 615 should perform well and the 1080p display means battery life for days. Is the camera the same as the styles? Because if so, I like that. However I don't understand why it wouldn't be able to shot 4k? I guess that's to do with the 615.

Dislikes:

The design - I don't like the sides. I wish it was more similar to that of the g and x. I also would have liked a couple of material options in the moto maker. Or at least backs without the wave pattern.

Moto x Style:

Positives:

The design, the camera, the 808, the micro SD support, display resolution and the price.

Negatives:

The size is a little bit bigger than I would have liked. I think it should have been 5.5 inch. Also the release being as late as September. I don't understand why the battery is smaller than the plays despite the bigger body? Is it much thinner?

I think Motorola's done a pretty good job this year, particularly with the G. However I feel that they had the potential to do better. I think that the branding behind the x play and style was poor. As it is the play should not share the x with the style. It should be it's own letter. I do think that there should be two variants of the x. The x and the x mini. The mini would simply be a 5-5.2 inch variant of the x with the only difference being a 1080p display and likely a smaller battery
