Life

I just finally saw the neurologist. She feels very strongly, that there is a direct correlation between migraine, depression & anxiety. There certainly is in my case & perhaps in yours. She says it’s a result of too little Serotonin. That would account for all of the things you described.

Unfortunately, for me, I have been taking an SSRI for decades & this is the reason I’ve reacted badly to the go to migraine meds. I have bad allergies to NSAIDS, so she’s first having me “detox” from acetaminophen & start a very restrictive diet, that is supposed to help coax my brain into creating more serotonin.

I too am in almost constant pain & understand how you feel. You are NOT alone! For many of us, this trifecta of low serotonin conditions go hand in hand. I hope that you’re able to get to a neurologist as well, but it took me 50 years to finally do it. I asked her if it’s too late to really hope to get a handle on migraine, but she assured me it wasn’t. Everyone is different, but I’m sharing my story with you in hopes that you take comfort & no matter how bad it gets, don’t give up.
