Having migraine is horrible.

Ive had chronic migraines for 6 years now.

I would say a neurologist is definitely recommended. There are some days where I don't have a headache (i.e. less than 10 days a year), but it's almost always there. Every waking moment.

I had my last break some two months ago, when I was given some painkillers after some surgery.

Medication helps so much I can't even describe- without it, I'd be unable to even get out of bed. I usually only have a bad headache, rather than a migraine now! It might sound like a small victory, but honestly it's amazing.

Eventually you learn your triggers, and you learn to take time to yourself and take naps, which help a lot. Sometimes you won't have headaches for weeks, sometimes you'll have them for months on end.

If you're not on some sort of medication, definitely go see a neurologist and see what they suggest. Life with chronic migraine is hard, but most of all it's important to remain positive. We could all have it worse, and remaining negative makes matters much worse.

Until a neurologist, try some good ol' fashioned distraction. Do something that makes you happy (not with a computer is preferred), and you'll see an improvement just from that.

Good luck!
