Two young women made a Facebook event this week called ‘Valley to Wynnum Lime Sesh’.
They encouraged the event’s 3000 interested participants to ride the scooters at full throttle from Ric’s Bar in Fortitude Valley to Wynnum, in Brisbane’s east, at 1am.
“Post clubbing lime squad. Start at Rics Bar 1am at the earliest, depending on how the night’s going,” the page reads.
“Prerequisite: must be keen. Another prerequisite: must be willing to go 30km/hr on Wynnum rd #gnarly.”
The women encouraged the participants to “tell everyone” about their plan.
Queensland police said today they were aware of the event.
