It's the /r/brisbane random discussion thread. 27/01/2023

I am/ was a casual and had been for about 8 months. I took some time off for mental illness related issues caused by some physical health problems (which ended in me getting surgery at the end of last year) I communicated all of this with my employer and they said they were supportive and they understand blah blah. A few weeks after my surgery I had a shift scheduled and tested my boss letting them know I’m super keen to come back to work and that my surgery went well and that I have no pre cancerous or cancerous cells (hell yeah!!) They ignored my message so I emailed the owner basically saying the same thing. They have since ignored that as well. I know I was casual but is this… legal or is it just morally ambiguous?
