So we have Liquid facing off against eLevate at the HTC Reborn LAN. The match history between these two teams have been back and forth. For example, eLevate recently won against Liquid, taking Cache 16-9, but they dropped Overpass, 4-16. Elevate also lost on Dust 2 and Train, both 9-16, but they later took Cache 16-12, and Dust 2 16-13. Elevate also took Nuke 19-17, but they later dropped Nuke 1-16, and Cache 6-16. The match history between the two have been so inconsistent, it’s not worth looking at.
Liquid have done alright in the NA scene as of late. They recently won against SKDC, taking Dust 2 16-9, and Mirage 16-14. They did however, drop Cache 9-16 against eLevate. They also dropped Dust 2 19-22 against KeydStars, but that isn’t a bad performance at all. In addition, Liquid also won against Cloud9, taking Train 16-14, and Cache 16-13. They did drop Overpass 6-16 though. Liquid have been back and forth recently, but they’ve done fairly well in the NA scene by beating teams like CLG, LunatiK, eLevate, and Cloud9.
Elevate seems to also share a similar match history to Liquid. They recently lost against CLg in a Best of 1 on train, losing by a mere 14-16. They did, however, 16-2 Method on Cobblestone. eLevate also managed to beat Nihilum on Dust 2, 16-8, and Cobblestone 16-12. In fact, eLevate has lost the majority of games to Liquid, but they have defeated them an equal number of times. Overall, this match-up is extremely even. Personally, I have not watched either team play at LAN, but I think this is going to be a 50-50 match.
In the end, I recommend playing the odds on this match-up. A low bet on eLevate isn’t a bad idea. They have potential to overcome and defeat Liquid, especially in a LAN setting. Who knows how they’ll do.
