This definitely looks like a straightforward game. Astralis is one of the best teams in the world, and even though they haven't looked quite as strong as usual they are definitely miles above Optic right now. The big issue with Optic is that their players have a lot of individual skill, but they pretty much never practice and never improve. This is a big reason why they are so inconsistent, and why they look like two different teams in some of their matches. It wouldn't be a total stretch to say that Optic could maybe get like 10 rounds on a really good day, but I just don't see them beating Astralis here. The Danes are extremely solid against lower tier teams, and almost never get taken out of tournaments by them.
Initially I favor Astralis at 90-10
Astralis
Astralis's last games were 0-2 against NiP, 2-0 against EnVyUs and 2-0 against G2. They've been looking really solid recently against most teams, and they have only been losing against teams like Fnatic and NiP. Looking back I don't know the last time they were upset by a team at a similar caliber that Optic is. I think the only one that came even close was their loss to Dignitas at Malmo, but Dignitas is a far stronger team than Optic in my opinion. Overall Astralis has been looking pretty good.
Optic
Optic's last games were 0-2 to TSM, 1-2 against compLexity and 0-2 against LG. They've looked pretty poor recently even among the NA teams, and to lose in that fashion against TSM & CompLexity is unbelievable. Those teams aren't remotely close to being decent in any way, and it's pretty much impossible to see a world where Optic loses to teams like this right before beating Astralis - even in a BO1. I suppose if Optic was able to get both pistols and had quite a lot of momentum on their side there is a slight chance that they could do it, but their recent form has been unbelievably bad and Astralis would have to make a LOT of mistakes for an upset to be allowed.
Recent performances favor Astralis at 90-10
Cache favors Astralis at about 75-25. Optic has been poor here and Astralis has been taking down anyone remotely close to Optic's level (Tempo Storm, VP, EnVy, etc).
Cobblestone is Astralis' perma ban and definitely shouldn't be played.
Dust 2 is a map that Optic usually ban, and they only have two losses to C9. Extremely unlikely for any possible upset here.
Inferno favors Astralis at about 80-20 right now. They are just miles ahead of Optic in every way here.
Mirage is about 75-25 for Astralis. Optic isn't horrible here, but they lost 6-16 against VP at their last LAN and 13-16 against Cloud9. You can't have scores like that and then expect to beat a team like Astralis here.
Overpass might be both team's best maps right now. With that being said, Optic lost here to HellRaisers at 3-16 in their last LAN, which is very scary for them. Astralis is absolutely godly on Overpass, and even with Optic's past results I just don't see an upset happening. 70-30 for Astralis.
Train favors Astralis by miles, even though they don't really like it. Optic are honestly really poor here for the most part, and recently they've looked even worse. 85-15 for Astralis.
This game is basically Astralis's to lose. If they fell in this match, I would be extremely surprised. It would take some serious jet lag alongside a monster performance from Optic for them to get anywhere close to that 16 mark, and I honestly don't think they could do it even with 4 or 5 attempts at it. Individually Optic has some really impressive skill, but Astralis just doesn't lose to teams like this. They pretty much never have, and they normally crush the teams that have individual skill but lack proper teamwork.
