Looking for info about dog attack in S Street dog park

If this is not the first time this particular dog has been aggressive then Animal control most likely has dealt with this owner before. When it comes to dog parks most rules require that you contact them within 24 hours not just for the bite but also the mediation between both owners. Parks have an Open and Obvious hazard rules to protect both parties and dealing with the Animal Control will help in your favor, I think it would be hard to sue and try to prove without any witness. This guy will most likely be back at the same time during the week, his dog is a creature of habit.

My dealings with Dog parks have been interesting to say the least.

Two stories. The first time I brought my blue puppy to the park she was 6 months which is legal puppy age to enter and be license. As she was playing and someone brought in their dog by carrying it into the park which now looking back is a really bad sign. As he walked in with his dog all the dogs in the park circled the owner carrying his dog and then the owner attempted to set the dog down. My pup was in the mix as well she should be to greet a new dog. Once the new dog was on the ground it attacked ever single dog around it in seconds. The guy then swooped up his dog and ran out. I mean he ran. It happened so fast we all realized all our dogs had cuts and scrapes and bleeding everywhere. We never did find the guy but it is very clear he knew his dog had issues.

The second issue is recently. My dog is awesome, well behaved and sweet and has a great temperament. She thinks she is a small lap dog and she loves everyone but take a look at this photo. Who is the aggressor? Well this is the results of what happened 1 & 2. The gentlemen that owns the small dog is afraid that my dog will squash his dog, he freaks out and tries to push my dog away all the time but when his dog is grabbing my pups neck and mouth he cheers, because my dog is larger He refuses to believe that his dog is leaving bite marks on mine. He even suggest that my dog will hurt his as his dog is actually hurting mine. So I have to avoid the park when he is there and the park is right next to my house. Sometimes people can be petty and think there dog did nothing wrong but really their dog is terrorizing other dogs.

My pup is AKC purebred I have spent about $5000 in vet bills in 2014 from routine stomach stapled and cutting out plastic to also getting stitches from dog parks. It’s just the nature of owning a animal. Dog parks are not 100% safe and should never be treated as such. Always be on the lookout for your pup and don’t be afraid to take your dog out early. Like other people say there are known dog parks where there are aggressive dogs and known dog parks where the nice guys play. Just learn where your dog would fit in best. Keep some animal blood clout spray and antiseptic in your house or car when you go to the park. Buy it off the web because in the stores its very expensive.
