Loving your body should be about keeping it healthy, not accepting that you're fat.

Being overweight or obese poses significant health risks and must be discouraged. Those that suffer from these conditions will be at risk for significant health problems. 8 out of 10 people with type 2 diabetes are overweight or obese. This leads to problems such as heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, eye problems.

The overweight and obese are at higher risk for high blood pressure, which can strain your heart, damage blood vessels, and raise your risk of heart attack and stroke. Your heart is important - without a functioning heart, you will die. Fatty liver disease leads to severe liver damage, cirrhosis and even liver failure. Being overweight or obese raises the risk of getting osteoarthiritis, which causes pain and swelling in your joints.

It is problematic and harmful for everyone, particularly the overweight and obese, to subscribe to these irrational, empty cliches about "it's a free country", "she has the right to live how she wants", "don't discriminate", "don't be a dick", "inclusivity", "sensitivity" characteristic of "fat acceptance". Practicing "fat acceptance" literally abets type 2 diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, osteoarthiritis, and so many other consequences of being overweight or obese.
