You think you won't encounter hackers? Oh boy wait until F2P. Also it won't push PUBG back into any top position. When PUBG was at it's prime, and the time when the dev's really need to shine, they did the exact opposite and basically killed any chance of their game ever being considered a top tier BR ever again.

They are going F2P out of desperation and a feeble attempt to keep the player base from dropping. It might cause enough of a spike for someone to post a screenshot of the steam game stats page here but eventually people will realize it's PUBG which still runs like shit after all these years plus the massive influx of F2P hackers...pretty soon the queue times will be insane if they aren't already.
