I’m not from the US and see a lot of incest-related jokes about Alabama. Why is that? Is there really lot of incestuous relationship happening there?

Here we have a case where a technical problem affected society .

If I recall correctly , the water in that area is not soft water . Which means the amount of minerals is high. Probably (as one other user mentioned ) it’s because of the mountains. But because of that , any thing that had to be sold there that uses water needed to be over designed . Since without any type of allowance the water devices would fail . It is a known fact companies like GE sent R&D teams to Alabama . It was one of those huge stories that are forgotten . I think recently vice did a documentary on it . Vice or Vox . One of those.

Anyways , after forming a big consortium , all these companies allocated 70 - 80 % new compartments for built in water treatment.

It solved the problem

But a new problem arose

For example , The diameter of washing machine doors had to be reduced . And a crisis was happening in most households .

Many women got stuck in the washing machines. And many of those women resorted to their step siblings or cousins or what have you to get them out .

The awkward positioning of the washing machine highlighted their juicy rear ends . Usually these women would be wearing regular house clothes. Which can show the undergarment, very subtly . If not careful , it can make any man weak at the knees. Especially upon close proximity .

This happened frequently that eventually the step siblings , consensually of course , were almost always tempted to make a move, to which the response was “ what are you doing step …?” .

Upon consensual agreement , one thing lead to another and an incestuous relationship was formed in most Alabama laundry rooms. Which lead to marriages one after the other and it became the trend you hear about .

The more you know right ?

TLDR: Fat Morty’s wish came true
