I made my party cry tonight, what should i do?

I’ve spent weeks learning the ways to play, creating a character, practicing in-character rping, and building a detailed yet not overwhelming backstory. To go into a game and have the character I masted the art of playing die to some crap dice rolls instead of something that is a reasonable death is total hogwash. Not only that but slapping a character with a happy face just to say “just use this” instead like I’m supposed to accept playing something I absolutely hate and would have absolutely no fun playing is just insane. I’m into playing a fun character in an amazing world, not just playing some random character that I don’t feel comfortable playing in an amazing world.

Though I am planning for the eventual death of my character. After I finish making my current one I’m planning another that I’ll use. That’s assuming I die an actual “death”. Dying to some first level enemy because of dice rolls isn’t death. Imma just taking my sheet and waiting till another chance comes along. Wasting a character for 1 hour of gameplay is not right.
