There is so much women don't know, how can one avoid trying to fill in some of the gaps in their background knowledge?
You will find that a great deal of information is privy only to hobbyists, it is occasionally useful on more than a trivia quiz. And really, how many women have odd hobbies, often pursued in relative social isolation?

And then, sorry to say, certain subjects don't really appeal to women either. They, bless, do like to live in the moment and take undue interest in ephemeral phenomena such as fashion and other women's romantic challenges. This leaves little time for History, Philosophy and the like.

In short, we men are repositories of invaluable facts. If you don't want to be bothered with facts then don't attempt grown up conversations.
