Map Thread #55 Results

If we use that sample size to project the rest of the MTC

When you assume, you make an ass out of u and me.

Why the hostility? I'm just expressing my viewpoint, certainly not trying to get under anyone's skin.

Because you're here every fucking thread finding a reason to complain. I find it simply stunning how, every map thread, you seem to pull more salt out of your ass than what we thought was physically possible. Go you, Moosen.

It seems that the only way to actually know how a map is going to do before you submit it is to talk to each member individually.

Yep, that part is true (for the most part). How do you suppose we fix this? Do you have any suggestions, Moosen? Or would you rather stick to your character and just complain every thread?

if a subreddit with <200 subscribers can organize 4v4 maptests of 30+ maps in a matter of hours

It blows my mind how you think this is an adequate way to even remotely comprehensively analyse any map. In the MTC, we generally feel 8-10 minutes in a 4v4 is the best we can do as a bare minimum. That's just testing. Did you know we often discuss the map for 5-10 minutes after that? Did you know we often re-test maps multiple times in one night, as we did this thread with Saigon and Tombolo? Do you test maps as deeply as that? Or is your idea of a 4v4 something along the lines of testing for 5 minutes and then rushing into the next map without any time to discuss?

We noticed a lot of the maps getting tested only had 5-6 participants in the preliminary 4v4's - why not ask us for help?

Well, here's the thing, Moosen -- we do. This thread, we had DiannaArgon, Canvas and JBayybayy (did I get that name right?) sitting in to help us. However, we have never asked you to sit in and test because, in our experience, your analysis of maps isn't very accurate to how we feel the map will generally play. Your ability to discuss is good, but the content of what you discuss itself generally doesn't align with what we would consider basic map knowledge. Contrarily, the others (most notably Canvas) can do this.

I never said that.

Perhaps not. But it's 100% the impression that you give.

I'll try to keep a more open dialogue with you and other MTC members

Please stop trying to brand your salt as "keeping an open dialogue." It's tiresome.

Hope that's okay with you if I pester you for your thoughts :)

Yep, any time.
