MBP (base + 32GB RAM) for Solidworks?

I graduated from both computer engineering and computer science majors back in 2017. I use MacBook for the convenience of CS programming classes, but did most of my (electrical & electronic design/embedded/signal processing) engineering projects on my Windows PC and uni computers. Problems were mostly software compatibility.

As I work in satellite engineering now, 99% my jobs were done on work machines (windows & Linux). That’s probably one of the biggest reasons for me to stick with MacBook as a personal laptop for home use.

New engineering apps might have improved a lot on macs but IMHO windows is better for many electrical & computer engineering projects.

If you have found all the OSX version of the apps that your engineering field needs, go for it. Decent machine to process engineering design needs.
