Merry Christmas and all that but it’s really, really disappointing to realize that the majority of my Kelowna friends, co-workers, and neighbourhood acquaintances just straight-up aren’t following the public health orders for Christmas gathering.

My family followed the protocols but my neighbours absolutely did not. Do I personally care? No. I did all my shopping ahead of time, but I drive by the mall and the parking lot was full every single day. I know people who work there and they said no one is social distancing and tons of people are walking around with their masks down when not inside a specific store. If people can stand in line 1ft away from strangers and gather in numbers >500 at the mall, I don't really care if people decide to visit family members. Why should you be allowed to gather with huge groups at the mall, but not small family groups? Like I said, I follow all the restrictions, I just don't condemn those who haven't on THIS occasion for Chrismas.
