Mess Effect - Dunkey

Well my friend, that's called being hardcore.

It isn't a BAD thing.

What it means is that you've played them all, it's your jam, or you've played everything else and this is the best game out that you haven't played or beat.

A lot of people like me have a situation outlined in my parent comment- I don't use reviews as a crutch, but I have a LOT of triple-A must-play high-rated games in my Steam que that present a higher priority. I didn't just miss Witcher 3, it was just the lone example I offered.

Reviews help distinguish or give an idea of what's going on. There is truth to them. They just aren't dogma.

I watched Power Rangers as a kid. Saw the movie. Because I'm hardcore and I was curious. I couldn't blame a millennial for not watching it from a 50% Metacritic score though, because I'm aware it's not a cinematic tour de force. I agree to an extent with the reviews, regardless of the fact I watched it growing up. It was good, but if you haven't seen Logan or John Wick 2, see those first. Thus they have a higher rating.

Before I get into games like MEA, I personally feel like I should play and beat Witcher 3, StarCraft 2: LotV, BioShock 1... I have a lot to do. I just don't have time to play them all.

Reviews only have as much power as you give them. I don't give them all-encompassing control of my purchases but I keep an open mind to them. This helps me keep my gaming and purchasing a little more efficient.

If the day comes that I don't have a que anymore, a game like this would start being considered.
