Minumum wage employess who demand 10, 15/hr or more need to get over themselves.

I mean you can deny it all you want, but again you see it all the time. Everyday. Like i said look back to your last fast food or walmart visit. Think back of how many times you have yourself sat in your car and bitched about the service you received. Or did so in your head waiting in line. Youve done it. We all have done it. Even people that i know who works or has worked those types of jobs does it.

And thats my point. The job they are doing for one isnt worth paying someone 15 an hour. Best employee in the world, the work that they actually do does not demand that kinda pay. Thats why its called entry level. And as we all know, the vast majority of those employees are far from the best. Dont take my word for it. You see it everyday.

And you cant deny that within 10 years or less, again using that mc example, that the prices of their "value items" have risen significantly. And again, speaking about my region i live in, since i have seen it happen personally, as the minumum wage has increased, so have the prices. We dont even have a "dollar menu" anymore. No fast food place around me does. The only things that are a dollar is their coffee.

As for the companies that pay more, most are companies that either deal with high end items or are a transport company from what i have seen in my experience. Those warehouses are very hard to get into and the majority of them are unionized. So their wages are locked in. And they can afford to pay those wages because of the type of buisness they were.

Ill give you an example. I worked part time for a transport company. I made 12.50 an hour to take pallets from one trailer and put them into one sitting next to it. Thats all i did. I was part time for a reason. The dockworkers and drivers were all union. Unless you were full time you were not union.

As the full time dockworkers moved to drivers, left, retired whatever, they were replaced with part time employees. For doing the same exact job i did part time, the other employees that were full time made 16.60 to just under 20/hr. Depending of course how long they were there for.

I also know that their shippings rates were fairly high as well. However they would ship anything. They were not a warehouse as much as just a shipping hub. They would ship everything from kegs of beer, to barrels of racing fuel and engines, to guns, ammo and who knows "what else" to the military bases in the area. Alot of stuff would come in giant crates that were not marked with what was in it, just a ton of warnings and a shipping number so you knew where it was going.

Needless to say, this company was making more profits, then say a warehouse that owns all of the product in the warehouse til it gets shipped to wherever its going. It costs more to ship large specialty items and hazmat type shit then it does cases of donuts. Hell we had trucks that had govt escorts that observed everything. And it also didnt hurt that the owner of the company was a former beatle as well. Yes from the beatles.

As far as what you do to make more then me, im sure whatever it is it is either more labor intensive, more highly skilled, more hazardous, whatever the case. No matter if its more labor intensive then what i do or not. Im sure it takes a higher skill level then what i do. That being said, how would you feel if every warehouse worker demanded your wages? Every fast food worker and store clerk deserved your wages? And people who are just terrible at their job demand to be paid the same amount that you do. And have that being their starting wage.

Like i said. If given the choice to work long hard hours in a dusty dirty ass warehouse for 15 an hour, or check people out at wawa or taco bell for the same pay, which do you think i would take? The warehouse job pays more because it takes more skill, its harder work, and more is expected of you then that mcjob. If you dont want mcpay, then get something other then a mcjob.
