MMA fans of r/metalgearsolid, is Ronda Rousey the boss?

That is a lot earlier than me! I basically became a "fan" in 2007, I became obsessed around 2009/10. I have watched tonnes and tonnes of content over the past years though, I also made an attempt to get a real good understanding of the technicalities and the disciplines.

Woman's division lacks depth

I agree, I think in the future you will definitely hear comments like "this person is better than Ronda because she is beating tougher opponents". You said it well before, it's such a new sport. Thing is, usually when a sport starts off there is a dominant presence and for women in the UFC that is Rousey. I can see that comparison actually to early men's MMA.

I am going to have to ask your thoughts then on some upcoming bouts.

Machida vs Rockhold - I can not wait for this fight man, I think Rockhold is an animal and Lyoto is just Lyoto. If anyone can silence Luke's striking it would be him. Please answer me why Jacare has not got a title shot yet? When Weidman got injured straight away Vitor vs Jacare should have been made for interim.

Jones vs Johnson - I actually really do not know with this one, Johnson is packing some ridiculous amount of power and for the first time Jones probably can't beat his opponent at what they do best like he has with his last 3 fights.

Aldo vs McGregor - I still do not agree with McGregor getting this title shot except for the fact that Aldo has cleared out the division and Conor has an excellent mouth. Not to shit on him, the dude is freaking skilled and looks awesome but he is reckless and Aldo I think can punish him.

Special mention. Verdum looks like a different animal to a few years ago, Cain is so dominant though so I don't think this will be a surprise result. What a fight between Miocic and Junior, I think Miocic won that personally I reckon Junior has no chances in the division now, he has been banged up a hell of a lot in recent times.
