morbius precedent

we CANNOT have studios trying to "manufacture" and "force" memes.

Holy shit what kind of fucking cave has this person been living under?! Literally, since the first inception of "memes" companies have been MAKING STACKS by "manufacturing memes".

Hell. Disney & Marvel do it so fucking natural that Redditors and Imgurians actually think they were the ones that came up with it. When in reality a bunch of really in-touch advertisers came up with it.

"It's hard to figure out what memes people will like" - Not when you have ALL THE DATA IMAGINABLE ON EVERY INDIVIDUAL THAT USES THE WEB.

BACK IN 2017 BERKLEY ANOUNCED A MEME STUDIES DEPARTMENT! It wasn't the first of its kind either. Advertising courses offered meme-studies or at the very least, meme-related aspects to the teaching courses in advertising courses for years before the inception of meme-studies.

It's been around since forever, but has not been widely discussed or even well-known until recent years. Which is what leads people to falsely believe that this isn't already happening. Most of the memes from popular shows that you enjoy were probably manufactured.

My advice? Don't think about it.
