He was sick and he collapsed on the street. I just happened to be walking down town and came across the scene. Didn't even think it would be him. We are waiting on the autopsy report but the hospital said there were no drugs in his system. He had a "hernia" which caused his stomach to swell. At least that's what he told us. We forced him to go to the hospital a few weeks ago and he told us they said it wasn't dangerous but i was suspicious because he didnt get discharge papers. 2 mornings ago his girlfriend and I went up to his apartment to clean up for when his mom arrived from florida. Found the discharge papers and it only said "High liver enzymes, seek alcohol treatment" and had no mention of a hernia. So although not official, it seems he drank himself to death after his girlfriend moved out. What's crazy is i was up there every night the past week (he lives above me) and he was down to 1 nip a night. I was so pumped that he was quitting. The hospital told him but he didn't tell any of us. He wasn't carrying ID at the time he collapsed so i didn't happen to walk by i would still be going up there wondering where the hell he went.
