My family had a bad experience with KY Lab Rescue.

I'm so worried about the dogs at this facility! I too had a very questionable experience with this place. I'M WORRIED THEY GET THEIR DOGS FROM PUPPY MILLS! In 2010, my boyfriend found a sweet golden lab puppy from KYLabRescue. We drove 200 miles to pick her up, and as we approached the dismal home, we were stopped by neighbors that asked us to look for their dog since they had two go missing recently. They suspected it was KY Lab Rescue stealing their dogs and selling them. Since then, my boyfriend and I broke up, and we have not been in contact, but I have been trying to find this rescue for years because the situation never left my mind. (Just to let you know, our dog lives a WONDERFUL life on the beach in Savannah, Georgia, and she is very loved and happy.) She was however very sick when we got her. We were NOT allowed to enter the facility, and our puppy was handed to us out of the back of a van. Very strange when it comes to dog rescue facilities. I would argue anyone that this is NOT typical at dog rescues. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if anyone has more information, share! I'm have been worried about the dogs at KYLab Rescue for 5 years now. I was actually surprised to see that it was still in business. It was shady, uncomfortable, and questionable. I also question their website photos... THEY ARE PHOTOSHOPPED! Every single photo looks like a black/white lab placed on the same patch of grass, and the colors have been intensified and blurred. I also question that so many of their dogs are 100% full bred... As a rescue volunteer, I know these dogs should NOT be as expensive as they are coming out of a rescue, especially with all their medical problems.

It seems like this 'rescue' is selling dogs to make money, not to rescue them. If this is in fact NOT the case, I would think that they would be ready to take a stand and defend the misrepresentations they have portrayed. If these are false accusations I'm making and if anyone can defend this business, I beg of you to please contact me! I hope I'm wrong!

Glass_hedgehog: Do you know what came of the dog you returned? I worry about its well-being as I don't think these people take good care of the dogs.
