Despite my poor attempt at humor, Im not race baiting you. My issue is with holding comedy to multiple standards as opposed to simply embracing comedy for comedy sake, otherwise youre just gatekeeping the shit.

Long story short, you can't have a black comedian effectively saying fuck whitey on stage and getting laughs then turn around and get butthurt over a white comedian flipping the tables; it's either racial jokes are cool or they aren't.

You can justify it however you like (punching up) but the thing is, whitey will laugh with you until you demonstrate being able to dish it out and not take it. Race is irrelevant at that point, it's a simple matter of "you can laugh at your expense but you can't laugh at our expense" -- doesn't matter if its rednecks vs city folk / yanks vs southerners, anti social crowd vs socialites, fucking white collar vs blue collar workers, the great thing about comedy is it doesn't discriminate. And that in and of itself is worth protecting because at the end of the day it brings us together.
