I need self-tinting glasses, which get darker the longer someone talks to me.

The most urgent issues are: 1. fumes in the bedrooms 2. water leaks on the balcony

Other important issues include the flywire, showerscreen and taps in the bathroom, paint problems throughout, carpet and broken glass in front yard.

  1. FUMES and BURNT WOOD SMELL in bedrooms Both bedrooms (upstairs) have toxic-smelling fumes, that come and go. They are still present after over two months, with daily airings.

Although the fumes clear if the room is aired for a while, they are present the next day. Obviously, it would not be healthy to sleep in them overnight with the windows closed (which is necessary to block rain and street noise).

A strange yellow residue or dust on the walls and doors of both rooms. It is thickest between the floor up to about waist-height. It is mostly not visible, but apparent if the surface is wiped with a white tissue. Perhaps this is related to the fumes?

Two vertical gaps in the walls, on the hinge-side of the linen closet door frame (in hall/landing) and the rear bedroom's wardrobe (inside of the left door). These expose the interior. Perhaps the so urce of the burnt wood smell?
Uncleaned gaps between old floorboards (i.e. that were not replaced) in the front bedroom near the window, half those i n the "hall", and all those in the rear bedroom Although the top surface of the old floorboards were sanded and polished, the gaps of about half a millimetre between the floorboards are black, and don't appear to have been cleaned. Soot and smoke from the fire would naturally collect here, and likely release the burnt wood smell. replaced. The floorboards under the skirting boards in the rear bedroom also appear not to have been cleaned or sanded. Again, soot accumulated here would remain, and could produce the burnt wood smell.
