Negative income tax on Revenue

The credits are for the year, that does not mean equally divided per month (though they do do that for calculations) it means in a tax year you have those credits. So if you were not working the full year you still get those full tax credits. So in your case you’re likely earning too little to is year to be taxed much if at all, but come January you will be paying the tax on your income for the year (they multiply the month by 12, calculate the year tax on that income then divide by 12 to tax the month). If you stop working in may 2023 as an example, and do not work again for the rest of the year, you’ll be refunded a lot of the tax you paid from Jan-may since it would have been calculated on the assumption of a full years income and not just 5 months.

Enjoy your refund :)
