* nervous chuckle* haha hey…

That's from Gnosticism. The basics are that there's an all powerful God, and then he makes another God called Sophia. And Then Sophia makes another God called the Demiurge. And the Demiurge is evil. And he creates existence, and is the Abrahamic God. So existence is inherently evil. But because God made Sophia and Sophia made the Demiurge and the Demiurge made you, that means there is some small part of the real God inside you. And some people have more than others. And through personal seeking of esoteric knowledge these people can escape material existence and achieve like enlightenment and become one with God. Christian Gnosticism was popular in Syria and Egypt during early Christianity, but was eventually declared heretical and stamped out by Christians with what we now know as orthodox beliefs. In Christian Gnosticism Jesus came to remind us of this divine spark and the esoteric knowledge required to be one with God is hidden between the lines of the Gospels (including several non-canonical Gospels which are not in the Bible, and in fact the only one they really liked out of the canonical Gospels was the Gospel of John).
