Not at all. To express myself more clearly:

I do have some lady friends... but the connection just isn't the same as with ma' dudes :D

For example: I did remain friends with a a girl I used to hook up with as I wasn't feeling a proper romantic bond... and it worked great! We shared books, went out, helped each other with whatever, just without the romantic stuff as it wasn't working right for some reason. Went fine for a years. Tilll she got in a relationship. Obviously some distance appeared but I was cool, didn't think it would be much more than a bit of distance. Business as usual... but probably because of the past, now it's been years of no communication at all.

Even without past, even with the few ladies I do have some constant platonic contact with, it's not the same. They just don't feel as reliable? Not sure what's the word. No idea why.
