NetJets in 2023

My group of friends got very into private jet travel in the last three years. Ranging from chartering to fractional to outright ownership (one spent $35MM just for the plane or 3x his house). Part of this was the pandemic: crowded planes and inhuman airport experiences made PJs look very appealing - especially for domestic trips.

I can tell you now every single one of us is dialing back the private flights. Not because of recession fears, but really private jetting is just too expensive and uncomfortable except for the rarest of occasions. Even if you can afford it, looking back on 2022 and seeing you spent $800k just to fly a tiny private plane feels stupid. Besides skipping security, the flight itself is nothing special. Also I also would rather take a shit on a commercial flight than a private jet flight.

Go ahead and buy 25 hours. Get the experience. See what you are missing. My guess is you will return to flying first class commercial except in very rare cases.
