Top guys, a million to there's probably a couple pushing 4 million when you consider all contest earnings sponsors, tv shows, appearances, endorsements, etc. But that's only the top 5 or so. Kanoa, Griffin, Medina, Felipe, JJF, Italo.

Once you drop out of that it drops quickly, even for CT guys. $200k-$400k if they're lucky on the CT and have a good main sponsor. $100k-$200k otherwise (including contest earnings). QS warriors are lucky to make enough to not lose money during their travels. Most of my friends do lose money. My friend was within 5 spots of qualifying last year and he was $30k in debt from the 3 years it took to just get there, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was downplaying. Free surfers are the same, only a handful make a decent living like Michael February. There's obviously outliers like Kai Lenny who make $500k+ too.
