New Dad- Need help with my perspective

As others are saying the first few months can have some brutal periods.

I found that just continually trying different things usually lead to success, and for me, the baby crying was kind of like a puzzle. Usually the crying is one of a few things: wants love, wants milk, to poop, or is tired. So many times I woke up a 2am to help my wife, and it would turn out she was too sleep deprived to figure out the kid just wanted more milk than usual, or could be put to sleep by singing or rocking her or something.

Something that helped me a little, was that somehow during the first day or two of being a dad, when I was worried about everything, was that hearing the baby crying became a good sound because it meant she was healthy. That’s always been in the back of my my head since. Like the first cry after being born. The cry means they are ok.
