God doesn't want you in an unhappy marriage. He wants your husband to love you like Jesus loves us. God wants to see Husbands treat their wives with abundant, sacrificial love. He wants us to strive for it. He doesn't want unhappy marriages.
The fact that you expressed your desire to leave and that changed your husband and he actually headed it and changed says alot about your capacity for forgiveness and reconciliation. That's huge and you deserve alot of respect for that. It's a huge lesson that you lived out and hopefully that example will save someone else's marriage.
