New programs and staff application

Summoner Name: jyarbz

Age: 23

Server: North America

Position: Social Media, Public Relations Management, etc.

Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in addition to expansive league of legends knowledge.

Why you think you are suitable for the position in question: What I'm really interested in is interacting with the community. I'd love to spotlight the great content creators that are already out there and work with them to bring more visible and beneficial weekly content to the subreddit.

I also think it's time Summoner School had a relevant social media presence. Twitter/facebook/etc are important avenues for interaction where people could ask questions and stay up to date on weekly summoner school events. We could also make social media posts highlighting particularly awesome posts that week. The key to social media is consistency. And unless you have someone doing it day in and day out, it'll be hard to gain a following and significantly extend your community onto those networks.

Summoner school is overall a great community that I've been a part of for over 2 years now. I actually created my reddit account specifically to post in this subreddit after a friend turned me on to the in-game chat room. I love writing and from someone who went from 800 elo to 1800 back in season 1 using this subreddit (and consequently got to diamond 1 and stayed there for the next 3 seasons), I love this subreddit and it's community. I'd love to give back and I think I have a lot to offer. I have a passion for writing and promoting people who are creating awesome content and doing awesome things. Wherever you think I could help, I'd love to get involved.

Here's an article I wrote for cloth5. The subject matter isn't incredibly relevant to the positions I'm applying for, but it is a good representation of my writing ability.

Thank you for your consideration and your time.

EDIT: I was looking for the Summoner Workshops and noticed they were on Saturdays now. Didn't they used to be on Fridays? I remember wanting to attend and not being able to due to being busy on Friday nights. I also couldn't find a thread for the past couple of weeks. I'd love to get involved as a teacher this weekend if that is still happening.
