New Strata Law NSW question

Hi there, I am not a lawyer or a strata manager but am part of my strata committee. If you are an owner, then my suggestion is to go to the AGM and get on the executive committee for the strata. Then you will have more influence and the ability to do things. The other thing I would mention is that, for my strata, when we changed the bylaw we maintained a requirement for owners/ tenants to get approval - meaning if we felt there were reasons for the pet not to be allowed, we could say no. I raise this because you may find that you get the bylaw changed, but the committee still determines that they do not want to allow pets and still say no. Being on the EC may help you to prevent that as you can talk to the individual members about their vote beforehand. I don’t know if that will help - it’s just my thoughts and two cents.
