Is the NFL too big to fail?

Right now the NFL is experiencing an unprecedented level of backlash from the medical community over head injuries. You can see the NFL trying to manage thispublic image with their Concussion Protocol, however that only slowed the bleeding. Because on top of this the NFL has to realize it exists as more than a company that is "too big to fail."

Let's count the other negatives the NFL has been dealing with for a while that are all coming to a fever pitch at the same time: * Head Injuries * Increasing frequency of commercial breaks * Off-field player issues (Ray Rice really didn't help) * More top-heavy league (similar to NBA) * Poor media relationship (Marshawn, Kaep, OBJ, etc.) * Complicated rulebook that leads to inconsistent refereeing * Very poor television coverage * Over-managing players (excessive penalties, etc.) * Sleazy business practices (breast cancer awareness month gives surprisingly little to research) * Trying to send games all over the globe (weird timed games)

The NFL isn't too big to fail, it's the market leader in Football entertainment that has grown out of touch with the consumers needs. They will readjust and bounce back.
