I’m confused by Stl County’s Tracy Pranus saying, "If individuals are in possession of marijuana and possess a valid and legal prescription we will uphold their constitutional rights and they will not be arrested”.

There are no prescriptions being issued for Medical Marijuana that I’m aware of. If a doctor certifies that a patient has one of the specified conditions, then patients can apply for a card from Health and Senior Services authorizing them as a patient.

I assume what they mean is anyone with a medical marijuana card won’t be prosecuted? It may seem like semantics, but the doctor’s certification and the medical marijuana card are two very different things. Not sure which they’re referring to and the details matter here.
