We went to school together since we were 6. We were never really friends until Freshman year of high school, but we knew each other well enough that it didn't take long to become friends when we had classes together.

Well... I kind of ended up dating her best friend lol. We're all still on good terms though, so no worries. Turns out she liked me back then (which, obviously as a total introvert, I didn't know until she outright told me 3 days before we got together), but I didn't realize that I liked her back until our Junior year. We went to Junior prom together as friends, and now I know she wanted me to make a move, but I was waiting on her to make a move haha. I'm extremely shy, not as bad as I was back then, but there was no way I was going to risk my friendship with the girl I wanted to be with, because I just knew she would react negatively. Well now I know she wouldn't have lol.

Basically just be friends. Be yourself around them. Let it grow on its own, and don't try to force it. We got together in September of 2013, and we actually just broke up about 2 weeks ago. I'm pretty heartbroken, because she was my first serious relationship, and the first girl I ever fell in love with. She's the girl I planned on marrying, even planned on proposing relatively soon. We still talk through text, but the person I've seen on a daily basis for the last 3.5 years, suddenly I haven't seen her in 2 weeks. But hey, stuff happens. I pray we're able to get back together, but if we're not meant to be, then that's just how it is.
