Here’s a confession. I never finish makeup. I get bored and the itch to try something new so I shove it in a drawer. Moving house though so I tidied up and over the course of the last two months I’ve finished the following-

Innoxa - Long Lasting foundation. This was actually amazing and picked up for about $6 on clearance at Priceline. I really love it and wish I could find more. The only drawback is that it is light reflecting and doesn’t show up well in night photos with a flash.

Revlon - Nearly Naked pressed powder. A beautiful light powder. Very silky and light coverage.

MAC - Pro Longwear waterproof foundation. I don’t know about this one. I tried only to use it on nights out as it is a very thick coverage and in my profession I don’t want to wear too much makeup (teacher). It did last but also collected in my smile lines no matter what primer I used. If I teamed it with my Rimmel mattifying primer it was just a hot mess.

FAILS

SMASHBOX - studio skin. So much promise. So much cake. The only way I could make this work was to mix it with a little BB cream and gently dab on using my beauty blender. I only got this as I was having smashbox do my makeup for a last minute event and it was the whole pay for your makeup get the cost back in products. I do remember the artist telling me that their products are often used on TV so I guess it’s that kind of coverage.

Haven’t found anything new that’s a favourite but I’m on the hunt for a new mascara that will blow my socks off and is under $25. Ideas?
