So now that we have seen RJ for 3 seasons and the start of the 4th what do we think his new projected ceiling is?

I'd like to see how this season plays out before speculating on his ceiling personally - though I realize that's not what you're asking. But I want to see how he looks playing a full year with Brunson, not just 6 games. My hope is that the more he plays with Brunson, the more good habits he gradually adds to his game.

People may not realize this because his overall efficiency numbers are shit, but he has actually improved on a lot of important things this offseason so far. He's finishing better at the rim than he ever has, he's shooting better in the paint (3-10 feet) than he ever has, he's shooting a better FT% than he ever has. Those are not irrelevant improvements.

If he can continue those trends while getting his 3 point shot at least back to his 35% (his career average), that'd go a LONG way towards fixing his efficiency. And we've seen his 3 point shot swing wildly from hot to cold in the past, so it's not like it's completely off the table.

If he goes another full year with this same terrible efficiency, then I'll be really worried. I think better days are ahead though.
