I think this is great but maybe I’m the only one on here that is a little bothered looking at the comments in that thread of the generalizations that reddit makes of cops and firefighters.

The rhetoric is basically that all firefighters are heroes and all cops are assholes. While it is great to for me to be on the good side of that generalization, I guess it bothers me how there are some cops that I know that are better human beings than me that get labeled as evil, while there are firefighters that I had to work with that are just awful people that don’t deserve that “hero” label that is put on them and it irks me how they are going to get much better respect and treatment than those good cops I know. I mean I hate how people assume that I am a “hero” because of this job, but I guess I’ll take it over being labeled a racist asshole.
