Obama and his bro Biden in Indiana

Exactly. Denying people based on dyed hair or tattoos is about so much more than private business autonomy. It's about equality and basic rights that we all agree upon as human beings. Your argument was way too obtuse which was my point.

You may see things with rose tinted glasses, but the unfortunate truth is a lot more people would be openly racist, sexist, homophobic, etc if it weren't for legal consequences.

Case in point, look at life before the civil rights movement where "separate but equal" was a rallying cry from the pro-segregation side. They argued that black people could be kept separate from whites but given their own stuff and things would be fine. Things were definitely separate but very, very far from equal. When you are a small percentage of the population, you're more prone to being mistreated.

Thanks to government policies, those assholes have to keep that to themselves. They can't deny people from their rights or mistreat people based on their own idiotic prejudices without facing consequences.
