Is there anything good about living in NYC?

Eh whatever. A LOT of my NYC born and bred friends are stuck here and don't wanna be. Their life is so different than every transplants life, including mine - moved here at 17 in 1998. My white, Hispanic and black friends that grew up here all have vastly different lives than most transplants. (Yes, Im missing demographics cuz I don't have those friends). A lot have moved away. It's a 50/50 to whether they love it. I have SI friends, kinda ok if you like the suburbs and wanna be stuck on an island.

I'd say, save up ae.money and move but know you'll be missing this:

-Cheap transport, absolute must have a good working car with insurance -no 24/hr bodegas or street culture most places -lot more blatant racism, but not more racism -lots of places but more all, more white bred mentality

But you'll have More space, depending on where: less crime, more opportunities to advance if youre a mid range worker (I am)

It's not all cheaper tho. It's not all better. It's all a balancing scale. If you wanna DM pls do. Let's talk. I'm ready to leave. I can tell you some places (cities and suburbs some friends have found good for them. Idk your specific circumstances tho)

But good luck, OP. Half they people in this sub are transplants that but into this dog eat dog NYC gotta be for rich only world BS.
