Varis is my first ever character and I've been playing him for about half a year now.

I was originally planning on drawing art of him at the start of the campaign (lvl. 10, chaotic neutral) to contrast with his current self (lvl. 14, in possession of a few magical items, lawful evil).

As for his backstory, little is known of him, as he rarely speaks, and when he does, he's probably making a sarcastic remark at one his allies' expense. All that's known is he hails from a small Elven village where magic was greatly valued. He refused to show off the full extent of his magical prowess (for all his peers knew, he only knew how to cast Fire Bolt), and was seen as the weakest caster there, despite being potentially the most powerful by a great margin. He eventually left, never to look back.
