Hurrrrrggggh alright, I liked this well enough. It made a decent sci-fi-horror flick. But I wish it had been more of a side-film or something, not a direct sequel to Prometheus. Engineers are cool, right? How's about we kill 'em all before the cast even arrives. Shaw and David? Nah, just David. Shaw's dead already. Oh, but xenos are in it, right??? Eh, kinda. A different breed, but very easy to kill, and apparently David just whipped these ones up, as opposed to the aeons-old terrors we know and love from the original franchise.

I was really looking forward to this movie. Like, really really a lot looking forward to it. I got a pretty well-crafted movie but it wasn't what I hoped for and now we won't see anymore Alienage for another few years and the chance to explore all that I liked about Prometheus seems to be gone.

Don't get me wrong, I think David experimenting with the aliens was a neat idea. But I wish we could have seen more flashback'd experiments, different iterations of the neo/proto/xenomorphs before this film took place.

And more engineers.

And Shaw's fulfillment at finding the civilization she spent all of Prometheus searching for.

And Shaw not being dead already.

And... oh well.
