Oh honey.. I'm sure that's it.

Go out to a college campus and tell me how much actual real life feminists you meet like that.

Quiiiiite a number. Maybe you don't interact with them. Or maybe you never talked to them. I was a philosophy major pretty heavily involved in the local punk scene.

I knew, firsthand, people that believed that legitimately believed that menstrual blood art was a political statement. I saw a full fucking fight break out because someone thought one of the crust punk kid's dreads was insulting his race.

You can meet these people in real life, on the internet, you can see them on video. Hell, some of them, like Lena "I Wish I Had An Abortion" Dunham are mainstream. They're on cable.

A writer for the Guardian, Julie Bindel, has said

I would actually put them all in some kind of camp where they can all drive around in quad bikes, or bicycles, or white vans. I would give them a choice of vehicles to drive around with, give them no porn, they wouldn’t be able to fight – we would have wardens, of course! Women who want to see their sons or male loved ones would be able to go and visit, or take them out like a library book, and then bring them back.”

At my school in a pretty conservative state, our mandatory "University 101" course was practically a feminist seminar.

You can't even sort of pretend that it's some secret, evil scheme to discredit feminism. It is a large cross section of feminism.
