They're jumping the gun. If you read the media headlines, it's as if Trump is peddling snake oil and telling everyone to start using it ASAP. He's just saying it's the strongest potential treatment out there so far and time is of the essence so he's authorizing its use, which no medical expert is arguing against since the FDA's approval process for new treatments/drugs can takes months and no doctor will dare prescribe something without FDA approval since they're pretty much setting themselves for a medial malpractice lawsuit.

Oh, and Governor Cuomo just said today its effects have been pretty positive so far and it's looking promising. If this treatment is proven to be effective, this is going to look as bad for the media as Trump's statements about the disease being a hoax
