America is a federal system. There are fifty states. Laws vary widely state to state and locale to locale. I don’t know what you are talking about when you say “they pretend like they don’t want a gun store in their town” and I don’t know what you are talking about when you say that people think guns are low class. That people don’t want guns in their town does not mean they think it’s low class; it may simply not be a part of the local culture and norms.
