Orlandu Hype.. Well he is godly, only if..

errr no...

  1. Yes, Orlandu is tm dependant, but instead of stacking mastery or double hand (why did you even include that?), he needs Cecil's TM and dual wield to be godly. I am not sure how Global has restriction on those two tm.

  2. The reason why he's SO good in Japan is because DW + Excalibur allows him to debuff the target AND attack with light elemental attack right after that. The second holy explosion will have a whopping 600% multipler and VERY chainable.

When he attacks again, he can deal 1200% damage in a single round just by himself excluding elemental chain bonus.

  1. Both Tilth and Refia is 4 star base, which is miles easier to get compare to Orlandu. If you plan your lapse well, you can totally get one of those healer and still be able to save for Orlandu. Did I mention Refia isn't that effective without a dual cast tm?

  2. NO, lighting and luneth is not the best for non tmr player if you compare them to Tidus, eileen or Orlandu unless you only talk about damage output. What Tidus and Eileen can do is that they they regenerate Mp for the party while Orlandu can debuff your target.

Lightning and Luneth is a good secondary character to support the first tier, but they aren't better in an overall team combo even if you dont factor in tmr.

  1. I do agree that 4 months is a long time to wait for one single unit, and honestly I don't think Orlandu is that game breaking to make someone to save for 4 more months just to have a small chance to get him. I actually agree the intention of this thread, I just don't think you should use the TM reason to suggest Orlandu isn't as good as lightning. When you have the correct set up, Orlandu will blow everything up with a sneeze.

He also works very well with new units such as Bailter... the synergy between those two units is insane since he allows Orlandu to have a turn one 1200% attack
